Who I Am
I’m Jon Wilmer, the founder and principal consultant at Merkara. My work focuses on bringing clarity, alignment and disciplined execution to organisations that need their strategic decisions turned into working systems.
How I Work
My work centres on turning strategic intent into operational reality. I bring structure to complex environments, design systems that scale with the business, and ensure decisions translate into consistent action. I work effectively across distributed teams, and years of working with specialised businesses on bespoke ERP platforms have shaped how I understand operations and how I design systems that fit the way people actually work.
Experience
Before returning to Merkara full‑time, I spent nearly 18 months as a transformation lead at Airvance UK. Working mostly remotely with teams in Manchester, France, and Hungary, I led programmes including a Business Central migration, a custom MRP build, subsidiary integrations, a Go To Cloud initiative and the launch of an ePOD solution.
Principle
My work is grounded in a simple principle: systems should fit the business. I build systems that work, and keep working, long after the project ends.
